MMIX

Happy New Year 2009 yer all! In fact, we have already moved to the month of April but as for us, this month is our first jamming session since last year. I might say that it was so not cool to do rehearsals once in a year. True, we did our jam once only in 2008...wasn't that bitter?

Each of us had undergone a lot of pressure especially myself with my personal duties. Suffering from lots of unexpected problems and controversies, it did affect the band too; rehearsal-wise and not to mention the plans for our debut CD. We're in no hurry though yet rehearse once a year is not a healthy thing to do when you're doing a band!

There were the obvious three of us doing our debut rehearsal for this year. Our guitarist Nawir couldn't make it since he lives far away from our town. But I am personally hoping that someday we all can gather together and do our duties as a quartet.

Everything was a square one type of rehearsal. Every riff seemed new. We totally lost our integrity in controlling the music we made years back. Yeah, the talents were rusting away. Nevertheless when everything is revise slowly, I dare you we'll be solid like 2 years ago.

Anyway, good things about not jamming for months are that you can still have times to think about changing the way the already constructed songs have gone. Meaning that you can re-construct the riffs, adding new melodies; deleting boring riffs and refresh everything again. My drumming is still lame, less energetic but in the same time I can still improve it and do a few new pattern out of it. Within the time of personal business and in the same time thinking of the best all of us can get via the band, we do hope for excellence in each of our track.

5 songs are made but like I said earlier, it has to be revised and maybe modified few riffs and melodies...inserting and deleting the wanted and the unwanted sounds. With our new simple tools and softwares, we hope to proceed with the recording or at least experimenting better sound quality for our upcoming release. Might need drum mics though and when we have that, we will do some test for our own multitrack recording!

Things might still be slower and you probably won't see any release this year. But look on the bright side, quality wise is more important than releasing it fast with crap feedbacks :)
